Best CAI

Any feedback from those of you who have installed your CAI. FASTLANE, LMR, ROTO. Anyone have real dyno numbers to compare?

I just installed my LMR intake and I must say I love it!!! Haven't had a chance to dyno it yet as I'm waiting for exhaust and headers so I can tune all at once. But when I get that I will post my dyno number stock and with just intake, then exhaust, headers, intake and tune. The LMR looks great and makes the engine sound sooo nice! I definitely noticed a difference in power but mainly it improved throttle response. Definitely a great intake to go with. The guys over at LMR are great too!!

I think Im going with LMR as well. I like the plastic intake tube for heat. Is the filter oiled or not? Thanks!

I'm waiting to see the VariRam CAI. I never liked the idea pf pulling air from the engine bay. Plus VariRam has a great reputation with the Vette owners.

We have designed and tested 4 different intakes that pull air in over the top of the radiator, testing one more design today and hopefully that will be it. All of our testing has been done with the stock tune in our L99 test car. We will have dyno numbers as soon as we are done once we are sure that we have the best design. Something to think about when comparing plastic to Aluminum, once you are at WOT, the air travels so fast through the tube that there is not time for it to heat up, especially if you have a true cold air intake like we will have pulling the air from the front grill area going over the radiator.

The only cold air intake I'll be buying is one that adds a little ram air effect from the front end!
