Same. On my day a Laguna Seca a ZR1 got black flagged due to +90 db's.

GR8WHITE1 is right. I put LT headers with high flow cats on my car with NPP exhaust. It is kind of raspy and loud. If you get a $95 resonated Magnalow X-pipe it fits perfectly in place of the H-pipe in the front pipe of the NPP setup. The exhaust not is smoother and deeper and is quieter than stock with Normal NPP operation. From what I gather it should pick up on power slightly too, but I cant confirm or deny that. I can tell you that it will definitely make it a smoother quieter sound. My car with out it sounded good, but it was loud and raspy when the valves opened up.

Hey 1LE Red Dragon, does the x-pipe reduce or eliminate the rear popping sound during decel?
I really like that popping sound... Last edited by Camaro Dude; 02-10-2014 at 07:19 PM. |

I ran my 1LE like you are planning for a little while. It should be fine at any track. It was loud, but not LOUD. To my ears not only was it loud, but very annoying. Magnaflow xpipe was the fix for me.

I remember getting passed up the back straight there by a older TransAm car with side dump straight exhaust, it was so loud it hurt, after the 1st time, I lifted the rest of the weekend just to get the noise by faster. Not like I was going to hang with a tube frame, racing slick car anyways.

Full Length Headers, NPP and VIR
Find out where they measure sound and back off the throttle or run one gear up until you are clear of the spotter station.
