Lol I've always hated that color too, if take a gold one before one of those. My dad had a 77 when I was a kid and man I loved that car, I love the steering wheel and my dad went to a junkyard one day and bought me one so I can pretend I was driving too lol. Then my sis n brother came and his dumb butt traded it for a Pontiac station wagon Parisienne iirc. Loved the ttops and he always kicks himself in the head for doing it too. But hey whatcha gonna do?

My Dad thinks the Colorado with the I5 w/ a turbo would be a better swap because it would leave more room and "supposedly" I5's have superior rotating assy balance, less vibration, compared to any other engine... He's got an 08 Colorado. No relation to RacinJason, never heard of him. I can't imagine an H3 with an i5, it must be a dog! |

Funny thing about those cars is that you remember them being so fast. You drive one now and it's like holly shit this thing is slow. My z28 was silver with the yellow and orange markings, I thought that thing was a rocket. It was a great car, probably not the car, just the memories of youth. Getting laid in it probably helped its mystic as well lol.
Btw. My wife pointed out I have a stupid screen name. Both of em Mchlgrrsn is my name minus the vowels. Michael Garrison. The other one needs no explanation and now I'll keep it just to piss her off

OK this seems to be as good a place as any to ask a STUPID question....about Octane.
I realize in the 6.2, we are supposed to run 91 or better, 93.... but 87 is allowed... So here's my dilemma: I bought the 2SS as I'm recently retired and have always wanted a V-8 camaro. I have no family to speak of, and NEVER see the interstate, I run around town only, and do less than 6000 a year on the car. So since I'm on a fixed income, could I run 87 without doing any harm? or maybe 89? Please respond looking thru my eyes, not a 30 year old who loves performance, MT's etc. I've been there and understand that, but I'm not at that life point now... so what say ye? Thanks! |

Thanks!
Oh I'm a mod fanatic....but not perf wise, just appearance - adding quad tips and a CAI - the CAI should not matter right? I think I'll try a few tanks of each and see what I find, for my driving to the bait store and back.. |

Do you drive it hard on the street? If not I say go for it. I drive it hard and I'm assuming that's why it drove like shit.
