And don't jack a car up on black or gravel. Because the wheels of the jack will sink in the blacktop, even if it's cold out. Jack stands will do the same thing.

I found these great jack stands at Tractor Supply. You just jack the car up put the jack stand where you want it and you can continuing jacking it up just like a regular jack. It's 2 in one when you get it up the height you want they have a safety pin you slide in so it can't come down.

Any good floor jacks that fit under the front end?

I went to use mine on the camaro and realized the front end is too low. I had to pull the tire jack out of the back and do one side at a time.

I bought a lightweight aluminium craftsman race jack from sears. It came with 4 jackstands and a nice work mat. Cost $400. It worked for less than half a race season. I took it back to the sears for them to warranty it and they said they only warranty hand tools. They couldn't even tell me where to get replacement seals for it. I went to Harbor Freight and bought their "Titanium" brand light weight race jack for $50. The "Crappy Chinese" jack hasn't failed yet in 5 years. I will never buy craftsmen again because of the sears here in town.

I bought the same jack and had the same thing happen.I took it apart and put a new oring in it[got it at the local hardware store],been working fine ever since.4 years ago.BTW before i took it apart i called sears and expressed my concernes[BE NICE] because they didn't have a repair kit for it.Told them it was out of warranty. They sent me a $100 gift card.
