My Zl1 vs c7 with the z51 package.
Just wanted to share my experience. I finally got the chance to line up with a new vette and was pleasantly surprised with the results. We kinda rolled into it from about 20. We were pretty much dead even until I hit second then I pulled a nose on him which grew to about a car length by the time we let off. I'm basically stock with a fuse pull, rotofab, and ported throttle body. My car is a manual his was a auto. Not sure if his was a 6speed or 8speed though since they changed from 14 to 15 model year. Anyone else have anything similar happen? I snapped a pic after it was all said and done.

Nieeece!!! Not surprised because we have more hp. Off the line it should've been close because of the weight difference, but eventually we can kick @ss!

on a road course I could barely pull on a stock Z51 C7 vs my road course configured 510rwhp ZL1. Beware...they aren't slow so bring your best setup and they don't lose power lap after lap as heat soak doesn't cripple an NA car as much as an FI car. No doubt the ZL1 should win but our weight is our biggest enemy.

The vette driver was all smiles afterwards and even gave me a thumbs up. Those c7's are QUICK! It was damn near perfect temp for my car (52*) and I was driving my car as best as I could with no-lift shifting and all. I have to say if I would have made one mistake with a shift or hit rev limiter at all, he would have walked me quick. Once I pulled a car length on him he stuck there like super glue lol

zl1 and c7 vette are pretty much a diver race. they are within 1-2 tenths of each other on paper and pretty close in the wild. the zl1 having a couple mods and torque advantage I can see you pulling him from a roll.
it the C6 z's that your not going to like playing with until you have a pulley in the mix.

I'm not sure if my two small bolt-ons did anything or not. My butt dyno tells me I gained a few hp but I've heard people on here say different. It makes me happy to know that once I do my pulley, headers with no cats, tune, and later injectors and heat exchanger my car should be a formidable opponent to most of the cars I come across in my area.
