V6 Friends- CAI any difference?

Hey all you V6 owners. What differences in the car do you notice after installing a CAI? Is the difference performance wise or does it just sound different? Was it worth the money that you spent? I am thinking of adding one to my 2013 2LT but wanted some expert opinions as to whether or not it was worth the $ or would I be better off to put that money toward different exhaust? Thanks in advance for your response.

You get 3 great thing out of a CAI. First will be a noticeable power gain of 10+ HP. Second is a great sound. Third will be improved MPG, if you can kept your foot out of the gas trying to achieve #'s 1 & 2!! lol! I say 10+ HP because that will be a real world number. It will be noticeable.

After a year with just Magnaflow axel-back system I installed a CAI and now have great engine sound. Before was just great sound from the back of car. Lots of fun!

I installed the injen long ram intake earlier this summer. All I have to say is don't expect the feeling right away. When I first put it on, it felt exactly the same. I was a bit disappointed. Then all of a sudden a couple days later I turn the car on, hit the pedal and it was a whole new car. So don't get your hopes up right out of the box. You gotta give it some time to learn the new airflow.

I just put a Volant CAI in mine. There is a difference in sound, and the "Butt" Dyno says there is more power. So yea. It is worth it. I paid $260.00 for mine.

I was always wondering what kind of mpg improvement one would see. Of course, buying a $400 CAI to improve mpg isn't the main point.

CAI is a great mod for our engines. Simple to do and a better difference than exhaust in my opinion.

Definite difference according to butt dyno. Put a V-max TB on it also for improved throttle response.....love mine!!
