Well the only car I ever wanted to put lambo doors on was my 4th gen. And believe me it wasnt for the looks. Those doors are just so damn long that it was a pain in the butt to get in or out of the car if someone parked next to you. The 5th gen still has this problem, but not nearly as bad.

If you have done it is it difficult? Are there any wiring problems with the windows, mirrors to be concerned with or is it basically swap the stock hinges with the vertical hinges and bolt everything back up???
Ok now to answer your question. I havent done them on a Camaro but I have on a Charger and Magnum. There should be some slack in either the door or the firewall so that you can have enough length to make the connection when the door is extended. So no problem with the wiring.

I used VDI (vertical door Inc) hinges. It is a straight bolt on. No GRINDING or WELDING. It took about 4 hours to do both doors. It is an easy install. VDI sends complete instruction which actually were well written and easy to follow. Enjoy them. As much as people say they hate them, they draw a lot of attention and people are always asking where they can get them and other questions. It definitely draws attention at car show. Have fun and take pictures and post when your done.

P.S. You dont have to open them in the vertical position to get out. SO no attention unless you want it.

agree that they definitely draw attention at car shows amount the spectators/general public... no doubt about that..

The few kits i've seen, while you can open the door in a horizontal fashion, they didn't open nearly as much as the stock hinges... IIRC, they only opened about a quarter of the way... if that... ????

vert doors look nice on certain cars and I have seen them on a 2SS IOM and I liked it! If you like it, go for it. Don't listen to haters here. I laugh at wannabe-car guys who think because they now own a Camaro, they know about cars and can talk crap against different styles of the hobby.

Do whatever you want to do! It's your car. I was at the Camaro meet in Southern California this Saturday and saw two Camaros with Scissor doors. I can't remember their names. Maybe you can go to the SOCal Camaro meet thread and find out who has the Camaros with the scissor doors.
I learned something new. I never knew that you could open the doors horizontally if you want to when you have the scissor doors.

I would have to see the vertical doors in person to see if it truely works for a Camaro, but I might be thinking on getting suicide doors for mine
