Anyone else get this message on their DIC? It’s my third time.

The driver side window is not closing all the way and stays open about a quarter inch. When I open the door to exit I noticed it’s lowering a bit more than normal then it has to raise itself a lot more to close. So it just gives up mid way and stays open

Your window(s) needs to be re-indexed.

Push down the window switch and hold for 5 seconds after the window is fully opened. Then pull up on the window switch and keep holding it for 5 aseconds after your window is closed. This should solve your problem. If not, see the post above.

^ I'll give that a try. I also noticed the auto open/close feature does not work while it's displaying that message.

i have had that message 3 times as well, i just play with the window until it goes away. but the procedure listed in a previous post sounds like a good way to fix it.

Correct, the auto feature should return and be ok after you re-index.

i had this same problem, and re index like the above stated, .................

Can this be caused by holding your button down too long when rolling down? I mean you know how all you have to do is tap it and it will go ALL THE WAY DOWN maybe this si being caused because we are holding the button too long to roll down?

Just got that Open then close driver side window message again. I did what Wild Bill recommended and it worked like a charm! Thank you!! Now I have to find out why it keeps happening.

Glad I could help! I have had the car for over a year and I have had to re-index my driver window and the passenger window once each. I don't know why it happened though.

Hey guys! I got the message, "Open, then close passenger window for the first time."
I only have 1500 miles on my 2013 2SS camaro. Has anyone mentioned this to the dealer?
