Gimme a shout (PM) if you ever need any parts for that thing. I work at BMW of Minnetonka in the parts department.

You've never driven one, have you?
Yeah, it's not the same as a Camaro, but they're damn quick. Especially once you tune them. The BMWs are so much better put together than Chevys. I hate admitting it, but I have to. The handling on the M-package cars are nuts. The problem with BMW is MAINTENANCE. It's crazy that control arms and strut arms are WEAR ITEMS.

Glad you like it, but boring in my book on looks and sound. Now if it was a Aston martin, Lotus or jaguar

I think they're good looking cars. I've liked the performance beemers ever since I drove an E46 with SMG. That thing was damned fun! Congrats on the trade! Have they worked out the kinks with the high oil temps? I figure a big trans cooler type add-on would quell that quick.

I went from a 335i E90 (N54 also) to two 5th gens. OP you bought a great version of the 3 Series. But after the E9x BMW has lost its way. Except for the M235i they can keep all the rest of the BMWs. The BMWness of BMWs is gone. Cadillac is builds more intersting cars, but nobody is buying them. Go figure.
The 1LE is a great M3 substitute and parts are lot cheaper.

If you like the BMW and are happy, don't worry about huge hit. Just go out and enjoy it. I am not a BMW fan due to out of warranty repair cost prices but I like the look of yours. Congrats! Ian b |

Nice car, congrats.
At the track I ran a BMW 135I, think it has the same twin turbo inline six as your 3. Very quick little car, stated next to my 3/4 of a way down the track, I pulled away from him up top. I know with mods those engines run strong. |

http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars...011-bmw-335is/ will cut a 13.2 bone stock....not sure what you're laughing at. I've seen more than a few SS' that cant do that. Last edited by Denis; 06-02-2015 at 08:52 AM. |

So on a road course who would win? Lets say first time/ beginner drivers.
First timers / beginners of the actual road course track but have done a few AutoX before. So drivers with confidence and somewhat know the limits.

Watch out for the fuel pump issue. Get a catch can and have a upper induction cleaning done every 15k.
Friend of mine has a 3 series and the maintanence cost and out of warranty repair bills are crazy. They can make sick power with bolt ons but don't know if I could afford a out of warranty one or one that I voided the warranty on. Do you have full warranty on it? If not good luck.
