I'd say around $5000 or less.
It looks to be in sad shape, but the photos could be misleading. Good luck! |

I payed half as much for my 2nd gen and it was in good running shape. Haven't had to do anything to the engine besides new sparkplugs, new distributor, and an oil change.
People seem to think that just because it's first gen, that they can charge anything they want and get away with it. The car really isn't worth that much. |

Im waiting to do a project car and turn it around for a OK profit, not looking to get rich. Maybe throw $20k into and resell it for $25-30k |

The first gens that go for the most are usually SS/RS or Z28's that are restored to the very finest detail.
When it comes to first gens, buyers pay alot, and I mean ALOT of attention to the very smallest detail. Those that are done correctly sell very high, but you need patience and money to do that. |

A bit of mis-information already in the thread.
Start visiting the fourms at Team Camro - www.Camaros.net Best 1st & 2nd gen site on the web IMO With the first gen cars, the Trim tag on the firewall is the key, that and any other supporting paperwork the owner can provide. Quick glance things are the RS cars had the back up lamps under the rear bumper ( like the camaro in my sig). Also, BBC cars have the heater hoses going into the firewall closer to the fender than the motor. There are a few others as well Also, buy a copy of the Camaro White Book by Mike Antonick - it is a bible.

I'd talk him down to 5 at least for the first one, especially becuz he probably knew it's worth less than 7 but asked 7 so he doesn't get talked down from what its worth
