Truthfully how many active members are here and on the NY5th gen section. I mean really active in going to these things?

You gotta figure that with the final cost not being determined this might take a chunk either way. For many this is a 2 day thing so thats hotel, gas, food and the event if your comming from a distance.
Then if its rain dated. Then who is commited if its the next day or the next week? All things you gotta figure into it.

Im not trying to be a pain man. Im out either way as far as showing. I have a GXP not a 5th gen. I mean I would love to do a pace lap in the GXP just for fun but whatever.
Just throwing it out there to make sure you get your target number.

I was just thinking if you did open it up to all years of F-bodies..we could invite the 1/2 dozen pace cars? I know there are a bunch out there in the area. Imagine having the 69 pace car lining up for a photo with a bunch of 5th gens rolling around the corner lined up???

Guys that have track cars like 600 and from all years going around the track.

Giggity giggity giggity. I don't even no what to say ... This is huge. I could only dream of driving my car on a track that has so much history in new England. I saw jeff Gordon hold his fourth champ trophy over his head there. It was November 2001 and for the first time louden was the last race of the season. Good job every one for pulling this off if help is needed for day events or what ever just call.

OMG, that was funny. Sounds like a sweet time, and I think this is the same weekend as the big Carlisle, PA event too. I'm hoping to make Carlisle and Oshawa next summer since I can't drive to AZ in April...

Great job with the planning for this huge event.

theyre might be some first timers Z....people whove waited in the shadows for an event such as this...the fact that theres more than just a car show happening...and laps involved...people will come outa the woodwork for this....we also know what the cost is to rent....but we wont settle on a final reg fee for attendees until we have a rough estimate of attendees...plus im getting an insurance quote from the track tomorrow...which will tie in with the lot rental fee

Congrats on getting a date scheduled.
Yes, this is the same weekend as the Carlisle GM Nationals, so competing with another big event could hurt some. I was hoping for more than just a few parade laps, but I know it costs alot to rent a track.

There are no open week-ends to rent the track other than April 1st weekend... and I wouldn't want to be the first car out there. It would be too slippery.

Like Chris said, it costs around $10K to rent the track for an event... We are going to need to become a registered non-profit org if we want to aspire to having an on-track rental day, so we can carry insurance and have a bank account for money to pay for that kind of event. Trying to get Camaro5 to have an event there is probably out of the question..

Right now, for the 2011 NEC5 event, I think we are happy with the size of the event we are planning.

We still have to figure out what we are going to do for driving events in the parking lot we rented..
