which oil for canadian winters.
hey guys its likely to be well below zero celcius or 32 F for next 5 months in western canada.
is it ok to use 0w30 or 0w20 for the winter? ive used similar oild in every other vehicle ive ever had in canada here and it makes a big difference in ability to startup, especially if no plug in is available and never had any problems. so i assume it will be fine in this car, just dont wanna void the warranty or wreck something in case theres something special about this engine. ive also checked out science videos on 5w30 vs 0w30 and i can see exactly why it starts better in winter with 0 w30 and if i understand correctly , it might even help lengthen engine life since start up is where 80 % of engine wear happens cuz oil hasnt pressurized and got to all surfaces until its warm enought to circulate |
