Talking Just Ordered My Cam Kit!

Finally got to pull the trigger on a cam kit. Been wanting to do this for a while now. Here is a list of everything I just ordered (I believe, I'm going from memory):

- Night Fury Camshaft
- .660" Lift BTR Platinum LS Spring Kit; Titanium Ret., .505" ID .060" Thick Loc., Brown/Black Seals
- BTR Chromoly One Piece Pushrods; 7.425" Long, 5/16" Diameter, .080" Wall, Set of 16
- LS Series 3-Bolt Cam Conversion Kit w/Katech C5R Timing Chain
- Melling High Pressure/Standard Volume Oil Pump
- ARP Harmonic Balancer Bolt
- x8 Valve Stem Seals (Per DynoSteve recommendation)
- x8 AC Delco Iridium Spark Plugs

Is there anything I'm missing? I tried to cover most of my basis with this, taking the liberty to upgrade everything that was usually recommended from what I could gather on here/online. Any other recommendations?

It will be a bit before all of this can be installed, probably looking at around mid to late April due to something personal requiring my financial attention. Thought I would knock this out of the way while I'm able though. Thanks in advance!

I would install LS2 dampner and not reuse the LS3. Also now would be the time to install an underdrive pulley.

With the miles on your car; new lifters $100, br30 break in oil and filter for dyno tune/break in, then a change of oil after that, new lifter buckets $30, new Head gaskets and TTY bolts...$200, timing chain gasket/ front end set $60, real harmonic balancer....not cheap $ 400, ls3/7 dogbone dampener $20 with bolts, BTW a under drive will net you jack...I run the fluidampr for my engines life the 25% electrical only under drive is countered by the car having a 950 rpm idle..... TR6 IX is what I would run , and then the 160 degree thermostat also, then add in assembly lube, maybe A/c recharge, Definitely a A/C belt, couple gallons of Dex cool, and most likely a oil pan gasket if needed. OH and CHE bushing the trunnions.....and actually the higher volume pump is more recommended than the higher pressure pump as the pressure goes up anyway from increased volume....

Thanks for the info guys. Would the LS2 dampener work with the C5R chain/melling pump I just ordered?

you dont need a hi volume pump. the stock pump would be fine if it wasnt for the bypass sticking. the 10295 is fine. the 8 valve stem seals. They are for if you damage any during install. your spring kit comes with them. I damaged one so had to buy a 8 pack. get this timing chain damper https://www.summitracing.com/parts/clo-9-5491 any damper will work with your chain. the C5R chain is just a HD stock replacement. with the brown and black seals one is for intake the other for exhaust. I dont remember which goes where. Mine were all black.

Full 1LE suspension, with BMR adjustable sway bars and links, GM aluminum cradle bushings, Hurst shifter with lighter reverse spring, TWM shifter knob, Tick level 1 transmission. I should have bought a ZL1

That's the exact setup I put in mine ~5k miles ago. They work just fine together.
