Fluid Recommendations - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Do any of you have any recommendations for fluids I should use besides the ones listed in the manual? Just want to get the best performance and maintenance I can for my 2012.

I personally use Amsoil 5-30 Signature series Oil, Amsoil ATF Multi vehicle trans fluid for the 6 SP. I was running Amsoil Sever Gear oil but am installing a Tru Trac tomorrow and will be switching to Torcco. Coolant I use AcDelco Dex Cool and Brake fluid I use a couple different types depending.

I use all the GM stuff as it’s never let me down. I do, however, use Brad Penn engine oil simply because that’s what my engine builder wanted me to use. Still using DEXCOOL, but may be switching to distilled water and water wetter simply because the car is pretty much a track car at this point.

Al GM here too, except for the Mobil 1 engine oil, 5w30.. Never any issues to date.
