Let me put it to you this way, I use to have a Honda CBR, then a old lady not paying attention ran me over at a stop sign and now I have a permanent back injury. I now prefer the safety of my Camaro.

I like both and have a heck of a time deciding what to drive or ride.

Apples and oranges. Personally, I don't ride anymore. People can't drive and I didn't want to be an organ donor anymore.

Tough one and we all have a little different view on this. I'm an enthusiast on both sides. The 1LE is driven only in nice weather and put up for the winter. I'm also for the most part a fair weather rider. I'd be hard pressed if I had to really decide or choose just one. I'd probably choose the bike over the car if it came down to it......... I've had five Ducatis over the years, currently have the Hayabusa and can't really imagine not having a motorcycle but I could live without the car.

If you have ever kissed the asphalt at speed and bump into something hard you will never go without it. And if you did go without and did go down, you may never get a chance to fix that mistake.

I got rid of my last bike and gear to pay for all my Camaro mods and have never looked back. I have met cool people. I can carry whatever I want without having to make a decision. I could not care less about the cold and the rain, and taking my car to the track is way more fun than I was having on my bike lately.

While I treasure some of my two wheeled memories, I do not miss the bikes.

Been there done that. I grew up with motorcycles since I was 13 years old. I went from a hard tail mini bike to motocross (CR125) racing, to top of the line "superbikes." I used to hang with a bunch of guys that raced high level superbikes.
One of my bikes got wrapped around a tree from a crash at night on an unfamilar road. I've also been thrown head first onto the street after a crash. Thank God I was wearing my helmet or I'd be dead (cracked my helmet).

If you ride bikes, you will crash. It's only a matter of time before you crash or someone crashes into you. I was lucky enough to not be killed in my many years of riding and numerous lay overs. My uncle was also killed in a motorcycle accident.

I also have great memories of the fun I had on my bikes, but I no longer have any interest in owning one anymore. They are just too dangerous for the roads/traffic, etc around here.

I said I'd sell my Harley when I bought my Camaro but haven't been able to bring myself to do it.

I can for the most part agree. But then again it's like driving a car, riding a bicycle or walking. At some point an accident will happen. I had a head-on collision on my motorcycle with an on coming car. It F'd me bad, didn't ride for 6 years but I was never "put off" on the idea or not want to be back on two wheels. It was a matter of finances and timing.

I'll never knock folks that don't ride anymore or never have. It's all our own choice.

This is the way to have both.

I did the bike thing for a good many years, back in my 20s and 30s. I loved it, but situations dictated that I sell them to get a reliable car in support of my career. Gotta do what ya gotta do and I have no regrets. Things worked out very well for me. I miss my Harley now and then (it was a stroked-out beast), but would never give up my Camaro to get it back.
