amazing performance regardless of the nit-picking. You can really feel that car lurching forward when he presses that gas pedal. THe exhaust tune is very sweet sounding indeed!
but I'm just sayin'

The Hennessey upgrades do not void the factory warranty on anything, but the motor and the motor is covered by Hennessey for 3 yrs 36,000 miles. GM fixed our paddle shifter and the air conditioning under warranty after Hennessey upgrade!

Instead of having a 5yr/100,000 drivetrain warranty w/ GM you now have a 3yr/36,000 DT warranty w/ Hennessey. Dealers will still warrant things outside the drivetrain, but nothing on the engine/transmission/rear end.

Well theres a simple solution for those who dont want to spend 20-30k and that is do the mods yourself and save all that cash. I know most people cant and or dont want to but Im one that takes pride in getting my hands dirty and doing things myself, makes me feel like I actually own and have something in the car, just sayin'.

With the weight differance I would think the Camaro needs closer to 800 hp to match the power to weight ratio of the gt500?

When I was a kid my dad owned a 58 Impalla , A 64 mustang and a 1970 Chevelle wagon that i learnd to drive on!
Im just a car guy my last car was a 94 z28 that made 642 rwhp. I would take a 800 hp Zl1 over a gt 500 but if i had to keep the car stock then thats another story. So im just wondering if 700 hp is enough to beat a gt500 in a drag race with the extra weight? |
