Your post below implies you haven't made any revision, so how did you address the problems in the design? Normally, replacement is enough, but, in a forum like this, inquiring minds want to know. |

" We just keep improving the build quality/components"// "No difference , everything is the same"..Those statements contradict each other

Mine didn't like the 9 setting all the time. Got one CEI and Onstar reset. Contacted Vitesse, recommended setting with my mods in signature is no higher than 6. Still change it to 9 on occasion but leave it set at 6 with no issues on either. Makes the car feel way more responsive and fun than stock.
I just remember someone said it would be nice to known you can't keep it turned up all the time.

as an computer/electrical engineer i can explain. the circuit design is the same, but the components they use are improving. what THAT means is that the components they use have a better tolerance level meaning the voltage/current is "steadier" rather than values fluctuating. it is more expensive to build with components that have a smaller tolerance but the output is more accurate, so its just better but the same.

Exactly the same, but different. The cost to upgrade the components in China is probably 25 cents. What I don't like is the excuses: It doesn't work with the LFX, or ported throttle bodies, or stock throttle bodies, or today's excuse. I might consider this mod in another year or two after the alpha test is done; but is is too flaky right now.

So, you don't own one and you've never even tried one... but yet, you're in a thread offering up an opinion on them? Ok that works.... I think I'll go post in some threads about those flaky turbos... (some people have problems with those) and... I don't own one and I've never tried one. Makes sense... I guess?

I don't know why the VTC upsets some people so much. It seems like any time there is a thread about the VTC, the same 5 or 6 guys jump in and slam the product.. even though they've never owned one or tried one. I mean come on, it's a mod that costs less than $200! It's cheaper than a CAI or a splitter! and you get to test it out for 30 days and you can still get a full refund!
I mean, go look at threads about cams, lifters, trunions, superchargers, turbos... even brake pads.. (there are people who have problems no matter what mod)..I'm talking mods that costs thousands of dollars and people suffer major engine damage.. .. and you don't get other guys, who've never tried the mod, jumping in and being negative about it. At most, you get sympathy posts.. "I'm sorry 'bout your luck bro". But mention the VTC and suddenly it's as if you're installing dynamite under the hood... lol Yeah, there are some cases where the VTC causes a CEL or low power condition, but I have never once read where any permanent damage was done. In every case, the solution was just to unplug the VTC, then plug it back in. Worse case scenario is that it doesn't work on your car and you send it back. Even then, your car is ok and you continue on with your life. You don't even need any tools to install or remove it.. nor any mechanical skills, or paid labor. It's easier than changing a flat tire. And no, I don't work for Vitesse, nor do I sell the controller. It's just weird how people seem to react to this thing. I used to own one and I recently sold it - because I don't really need more wheelspin.

I have mine set a 9 all the time. Have had in car for 6 months, no problems. Probably put 9000 miles on it since putting in the VTC. I love it. And it is only $180 (when I bought it), and like they said, comes with a 30 day money back. Is a snap to put in/take out, so my feelings are.....what you got to lose?

^ You 2 are funny. It doesn't bother you that a product manufacturer gives bogus excuses when their product fails? They have stated that it might not work with 2 things on my car; but I should buy it anyway and hope for the best? Why is the 100% refund not offered for more than 30 days; when most of the failures have occurred at 6-9 months? IF it fails and reduces power, and I get in a traffic accident will they pay for it?
Have fun being a guinea pig while they get the bugs worked out. DISCLAIMER: I do not own this product, and have no current plans to do so after the manufacturer stated that it might not work with the LFX engine, or a ported throttle body.
