You said you didn't think the 2011 running 120s traps was stock.
C`mon son did I really have to quote myself? I guess so, here it is, you can find it on the previous page if you like. I was quoting 2010`s and below. Now its been twice you`ve had a lack of reading comprehension skills, the first was the tires, it was right in the sig that I was on stock pirelli`s. Please read things through before you make blanket statements. By the way the 11.36@123 I was quoting was a 2010 and below model...

2011`s I have no idea.

I just went to the svt board seems there is a hero run stock on slicks of 11.36@123, seems kinda funny his mph was 123 as slicks don`t make more hp and the next closest stock car had 118 mph... Doubt he was stock w/ that mph is all I`m sayin.

His second post you responded to explicitly said he had no idea about the 2011s, but he gave his (true) reasoning to why a stock 2010 GT500 would never see that MPH. He only doubted the run because he did not think it could happen without the car putting down 500 rwhp, and he knew that the 2010 (and below) GT500s were not 500 rwhp cars. So, after he realized it wasn't a 2010 then he conceded it could happen. It's really not that hard to figure out.

Thanks man, I appreciate the backup. I see you have very good reading comprehension skills...

Not so a nice kit is only $250 and it gets rid of the factory radio and air/heat controls >>> Click Here

Had a visit from a buddy of mine last night, he said he had a surprise to show me. Now this is a guy who bleeds mustang, has the attire, the car, the clubs you name it. His most recent model was a 08-GT350 model conv. beautiful car black with white stripes. Well to my surprise he rolls up in a new sinister looking black on black Camaro 1LT. He said one sit and drive in the car and he knew he had to have it. He says the V6 in the Camaro is just as fast as the 8-cyl in the mustang. I told him about this site and I am sure he will chime in soon, but it looks like Ford lost another one.

So he had a dealer sticker package that tacked 10k onto the price?

You would have to ask him that. None of my business what he payed for either vehicle. I do know there was a brembo brake upgrade, exhaust, CAI, Stripes, and I think side skirts included in the GT350 upgrade that I suspect was a dealer mod.

I just hate to see the term gt350 tossed around because they are all different dealer packages ranging from monstrous builds to just stickers and body kits and it makes it impossible to compare.

This is the only modern, "real" gt350

Otherwise it's just a gt with a few modifications. It was not my intention to talk down your friends' car.

Dude the 2010 GT still has the 3V (approx 320hp) in it.. The 2011 has the 4V with over 412hp.. The difference in HP is closer to 100 than 10..

was there something wrong with his GT? to say the V6 is just as fast as the 08 GT is just not correct.. It might be pretty close but still not as fast..

Only it's not close at all....the 3v gt's can do 0-60 in 5 flat (4.9 for the 2010) and the 1/4 mile in 13.5 (13.3-13.4 for the 2010) at around 104 (105-106 for the 2010), yet the v6 camaro does 0-60 in 6 flat, and the quarter mile at 14.3 (average of most runs, best has been a 14.1, most are in the 14.4-14.5 range).

I know it's hard to believe but this is what he says. The great part is to have a V6 producing over 300hp now avail for the Mustang and Camaro, what's next?

Yeah I think at best he was trying to compare the new 2011 Mustang V6 to the 300hp '05-'09 GTs and the 315hp '10 GT.

Even then people seem to forget that eventhough the 2011 Mustang V6 has 305hp, the old V8s had at least 50 more ft-lbs of torque over the new V6s.

A well piloted 99-04 GT could hang with a 2011 Mustang V6. They ran low 14s in the 1/4mile too.
