ACS T-5 Splitter......+ 120mph
Ok,
So I've been testing my new SS Brembo's brakes and 1LE suspension and it seems every time I get near 110-120mph (on a safe closed road) the front splitter starts to vibrate pretty bad. I need to be able to hit at least 140-150mph once I go back the Fontana Speedway for the ROVAL course again. And my next mod will be the IPS supercharger so I now I'll be able to hit the high mph's faster on the straight aways. I've added bolts that connect the splitter to the front underside bumper. Is there anything else I can do to strengthen this splitter up a bit? Or should I abandon this ACS T-5 splitter and find a GM splitter like the one on the hot wheels version? Will the GM version do any better?

I've got the GM 1LE splitter (same as hot wheels version) and it's not going anywhere. It connects all the way to underside of the bumper, unlike the ACS one which I think is just the lip that is visible from the top(nothing underneath). It is a bit pricey but you won't have to worry about it later. Just my .02

I know the SS has a different front end so I think I'm hitting the limitation of the V6 front ends....
Hopefully someone else with a V6 + ACS splitter can chime in.

If you want the splitter, doing an SS front conversion may be beneficial to get the 1LE splitter but for the price it may be worth doing the ZL1 conversion. If you are really into road racing, I imagine the ZL1 bumper added downforce may help? Just tossing out ideas here. I think you may be at the limits as to what you can do splitter wise for the v6. Unless you can get an ARP one with the metal connectors? I'm just not sure if they make that for the v6

I just noticed the ACS now has added a "Track pack" hardware kit for high speed use.
Mounting Hardware Standard mounting kit including Bolts and Scrivets for road useTrack Pack, for high speed use, includes 30 HD fasteners, enlarged washers. Will require front fascia removal. (+$20.00) I wonder if anyone here has purchased that?

We had an acs splitter put on at Camaro5fest. It split on the way home due to incredible buffering and vibration at 70+. They sent us another with the track kit. I installed it! (without removing the fascia) and have had no problems since. The splitter looks great. Message me if u need anymore help.

Heres my idea... Trade that v6 bumper and splitter with the ZL1 one.
What the hell... If speed is what you want trade that six banger in for a Z28! In fact we all should.
