What kind of gas do you use?
I don't own a Camaro yet, but I was wondering what kind of gas you guys put in yours. I have an '86 Firebird and a '97 Cobra and all I've ever used is premium fuel. If I get a Camaro it will be a V6. I was wondering if anyone uses regular fuel for their daily driver.

1) Use the fuel that is recommended or required by the manual. Some state it is recommended to use 93/91 but you can use 87. In this case, use 93/91. If it says you only need 87, using 93 is going to cost you more and possibly decrease mileage.
2) Use Top Tier fuels only. http://www.toptiergas.com/retailers.html |

I had the non RS for 17K mi and ran regular gas only. Tested fuse pull and tank of 93 octane gas and no noticable difference in power or mileage. Went back to regular gas for the remainder of the time I had the car.
V8 though does show a noticable improvement in power w/93 octane vs regular gas. Not so sure any difference in mileage. |

My Camaro is my company car and is a v6. My company buys me one tank of regular per week. That's all I've ever put in. No problems no noises. But tons of looks.

V8 gets premium and the V6 gets regular. Simple as that. Putting anything over regular in the V6 is a waste. Anyone that tells you otherwise is experiencing a placebo effect.

Put regular in the V6. Makes no difference in performance or MPG that I have noticed. I've only put in premium a few times just to test, and didn't notice that it made any difference.

Premium, she takes premium! The manual even warns the damage a lower grade in fuel will harm your engine.
Or, if you're driving a v6, whatever they sell I guess. |

The 2013 owners manual says to use regular 87 octane for the V6, but only from a Top Tier retailer. Noticeably absent from the Top Tier list is BP. The other major providers are all listed.
