Just wanted to share how the 1-week shutdown affected my build date

2022 LT1. RS, NPP, Recaros, lowering springs/swaybars, tech package, etc.

Ordered 3/14, accepted by GM on 3/17.

Original TPW was 4/18.

As I understand it, there was a 1-week shutdown at the Lansing plant that ended yesterday (4/11). So I guess I assumed my build would be pushed back by a week.

New TPW is now 5/9/2022.

Meh. The waiting sucks. I know others have had it much, much worse, but just wanted to share how this has affected my build order in case anyone's interested.

I had a TPW of 4/11, dealership emailed me an update a week ago on the 7th.

Status went from 3400 - 4/11 to 3100 with a TPW of 4/25.

Wow... that really sucks guys! I hate that for you.

I was affected by 3 weeks of downtime in October, and in terms of TPW it was exactly a 3 week effect TPW of Oct. 4 -> Oct. 25. In reality though my car did not hit 3800 until Nov. 9th.

I had always heard that once you were assigned a TPW that it never changed, the build just progressed in the same order as sequenced. Maybe since actual build dates were slipping from TPW so much, they changed their process to hopefully provide TPW that are more accurate going forward?

The waiting sucks, I waited 9 months for mine. Everything is such a mess the last year or two, its hard to predict anything. But when you finally sit in your car the waiting is quickly forgotten. Best of luck to both of you, I hope you are both enjoying your rides soon.

For what it's worth, I've been keeping track of people's status updates to see how the process is generally moving along because I'm in the middle of it myself too.
Mine moved out 2 weeks.
The other ones I've kept track of were moved 2,1,3,1,2,2,2, & 3 weeks out.

Out of curiosity, with the options you selected, what made you not go for the 1le package?

Yup - moved out 2. Probably be a little more due to ongoing production and supply chain issues I figure. We keep kicking the can down the road . . . but out of my control. As long as the car comes through and whatever is missing can be retro-fit later I'll take it in today's climate.

Just found out mine moved out another 3 weeks....so 5 weeks total.
4/25 -> 5/9 -> 5/30.
That's some kind of record...

The 1LE package isn’t available on the LT1 model.

I’m going to be leasing, so a super loaded LT1 with a high MSRP is actually still cheaper to lease than an SS with zero options.

My dealership just notified me that my order went back to 3400 with a TPW of April 4th. I asked if he could double check which he did and sure enough TPW changed from 4/25 back to 4/4. I’m sure there is a reason for that but don’t have any more insight.

Who knows anymore. Ordered a 2SS 1LE in FEB 21. Picked up Sept 21. Ordered a 22 ZL1 on Feb 9, 22. Picked it up April 4, 22. 7 month wait last year. 7 week wait this year. Wife ordered a new Blazer early January 2022, it arrived yesterday, picking it up tomorrow. Just be patient. My new 22 ZL1 was still showing at New Boston, Michigan when my dealer called and said it arrived. And were in Florida.
