Most advanced suspension it can get? Agreed. The best? Depends on how you define 'best'. An excellent conventional suspension can still do better than a MR type on the track. The tradeoff will be ride quality when not at the track. The better system depends on what you value & what the intent is for the car. For a showpiece, a halo car, the be all & end all of Camaros ... it is the best option. But for a car built to be the best track car possible ... it may not be the best.
I'm with you there. I'm pretty sure its not a ZL1, but it still might not be a Z28. But, to be fair nothing conclusive about anything can be drawn from the car in the picture.

Z28? I don't think so...I'd say wait a while after the ZL1 has been let loose and either we'll start seeing sightings of a new prototype OR gm is gonna make us wait till the 6th gen for a Z28. These pics could just be gm testing some performance goodies too so I'm not gonna rule that out. I don't see the Z28 in the 5th gen's lifespan, especially seeing as how it's so heavy and how it's hard to trim it's weight...yet everyone is asking for a "lightweight" car. The next gen is supposed to be smaller so that is my light at the end of the tunnel, I mean the Camaro is back right? I can wait a few more years if anything.

Hmm...

Those possible openings in the rockers (molding from what it looks like to me) might be vents they're adding to the molding itself, like the IROCs and Z28s from the late 80s and early 90s, IMO. I'm not sure, from a functionality standpoint, how effective it would be, but perhaps making the rocker moldings a little more aggressive, in conjunction with the wheelopening deflectors, perhaps there is some benefit. I doubt it, but I'm not an engineer or anything along those lines. Look in front of the rear wheel on this these for what I mean:

Same here, as soon as I saw that aggressive looking intake. It really looks right on that car. That's what the current ZL1 is missing. Intake and heat extractor in one package. I'll wait...

Guys, put me on the list that says, "This car is Z28" :-)

I'm pretty sure the hood opening has something to do with hood distortion that occurs just before warp drive is obtained.....lol

Maybe that opening acts as an air-warp-brake when slowing to the speed of sound...

I think it's just a grille or something for the opening. It's not the greatest picture, but if that's the case, it keeps me wondering why would they case/create a grille for an arbitraty opening? I'm still thinking there's more to it than that. I don't know that I am biting that this is for ZL1 because there's no ram air from that opening for an SC'd engine. I also think there wouldn't be enough room to make it work effectively. I DO hope I'm wrong. I think it might be a high-performance option package for ZL1, and still think Z28 could be a bet, but am leaning a lot more toward the ZL1.

What's under that hood?...

I know what your saying. I certainly don't believe the hood just "broke" or something along those lines. This car is something other than the basic ZL1s that have been running around.
