Shifter knob removal ?
Has anyone have any suggestions on ways to help in the removal process of the shifter knob. I have been pulling and trying to turn at the same time with no success. Trying to install a Hurst billet shifter......

Turn the small chrome ring clockwise and pull down, that will reveal a screw that holds the shifter knob on. Remove the screw and pull the shifter knob off!

Wow that sure was easy. I feel like an idiot because the directions with the shifter said all you have to do is pull and turn with force. Again thanks for the help !!!!

Yea it's really simple! They need to add a note to those instructions for ZL1 specific! Your welcome bud! Enjoy the shifter, I know I do!

was the same way on a buddys 2013 SS. had the ZL1 style knob but with silver stitching not red. I think its just the new style on 13's and up
