I have never noticed it, but then again it only takes a second to go from 58 to 68 MPH for me..... it really smooths out when it limits at 155. Have you tried that?

From day one I've a noticed similiar harmonic vibration and hum at speeds of 68-75 mph. Can't actually tell if its orginating in the tires or drive line but its there no matter......hmmmmmmmm

Yes! I have this and it drives me nuts! Except I get this anywhere from 50-100KM/H .... Its an annoying roughness and feels like I am driving on very rough pavement. (Although the road was smooth and straight).

I was thinking of taking it to GM very soon. (Ah thank god for the good 'ol 'search' button - was wondering if I was the only one).

Vibration over 75mph - 2011 2ss convert

I have this exact problem on my new 2011 2SS 'vert. Doesn't really feel like wheels/tires to me - more like a drive-train vibration perhaps from the drive-shaft or half-shafts. Tire balance issues usually would show up at lower speeds also, but my car is smooth up through 70. The vibration at 78 is bad enough that the image in the rear view mirror is blurry. Annoying for sure for a $43k car! My 2000 Z28 'vert was smooth as silk the whole way up to the limit.

Anyone have any luck getting this addressed? Any updates from GM on it?

I had this issue also., what I did was rebalance my wheels 3 times. It ended up being, that the wheel balancing machine needed to be re-callibrated. And now I don't have any vibrations at any speeds. I have after market wheels too.

Holy hell why have i not seen this thread before!!!!

Every time I first start driving my steering wheel shakes... When I had my 19" 2LT wheels my car was fine, but ever since I got the 20" RS wheels I have experienced some of the things people are mention.

The car drives and feels smooth, its just the steering wheel, and after it seems to warm up it levels out. I have had it balanced, but it is still there.

Maybe I just look into alignment.

Some after-market wheels will puddle rainwater on the inner hoop, and that will feel like your wheels are out of balance. My Forgelines did it (fronts only) on a recent rainy trip. When I got home I went into the tire dealer and had them rebalanced, and they said they were only a "little" out of balance. After the rebalance they were perfect again, but they were dry. I notice the puddle of water accumulate on each wheel after each wash, and driving does not expel the water. At speed the puddle will stay in one location and make the wheel out of balance by a couple of ounces. The only way I can get it out is to stick a towel through the mesh openings and soak it out.

I never noticed this puddling problem with my stock 20" wheels.

Go back and have them re-balance all of your wheels again. 3 times for mine. And now its smooth at any speed.

i have vibration in my camaro though i got a 1LT automatic it does it at 45 to 55 mph i think its the transmission it gos too low in the rpm band and down downshift i brought it back to my dealer acouple weeks back (like 2) they ran a full test on it looked up recalls nothing

though i did test drive a white 1LT (mirror image of my car) and noticed it on that but not as bad as on mine maybe its my 20 inch wheels

though when i run it in manual mode (tap shift) it does it too if i dont downshift so thats why i think that

another theary i have is maybe it trys to keep it in the higher gears ie 4 5 6 to save gas? i dont know its weird if i notice it geting worse im going back to the dealership

Surprised that this topic came up because i noticed it today too. At around 65mph and above there is a noticeable shake in the steering wheel.
