Anyone order an RS and not have dark metallic wheels?

I ordered the RS package thinking that my black car would have matching black wheels. When you create/build the car online, that's what the picture shows. I even called my salesman before my order was accepted to make sure he had ordered the dark wheels. To my suprise, when I picked it up last week the wheels are painted aluminum. Did my dealership mess up or is that what the wheels are supposed to look like?

They are darker than the normal wheels but not black. They're "midnight silver". You'd have to post a picture but I'm betting your wheels are correct.

They are a dark silver painted aluminum. There has been numerous pictures of what the wheels looked like in this forum..They are not black and do no look like the dark color that is shown in the color picker on the website.

are you serious?? Not trying to be mean but you obviously did not do enough research if you are surprised about this. The RS wheels ARE darker than the stock painted silver but they are still painted.

Yeah your wheels are supposed to be the way you got them, the wheels on the website are wrong, they are darker compared to how the are in real life, oh BTW your salesman needs to learn his stuff too.

Exactly what type of research was he suppose to do? Considering he's been here less than a month and didn't even know there's been this issue, I can't really blame him for being surprised.

I always found it very strange that the wheels on the build site were so much darker than they are in person. They should fix that.

It's not your fault Betsi... You could have researched more on the wheels as I did. Bottom line, GM did a very poor job of depicting the midnight silver rims at the Build Your Own page.

That's right...the OP went to the official GM website and talks to the salesperson! So I think bustin' chops here is really unfair - give 'em a break (or brake!).

You could have those wheels powder coated black as an option.

Mine is SS/RS and came with polished aluminum. That's the way I ordered it.

Why would you do research on something that was not an issue when you ordered it?
