No thanks !
I think they used that style V8 emblem from 1964 or 1965 until about 1968. They were on many of the 60's Chevys, Impalas, Chevelles, Novas, and even first generation Camaros, always on V8 cars and until 67 they had the engine size above the V. Big block cars had different style Vflags with the engine size at the bottom ov the V.

Please those putting them on V6 cars stop, they never meant 6 cylinder in the past so they shouldn't now. That is not retro, it's just wrong.

I sort of agree. However, I did remove the chevy emblems in the front and back and replaced with SS emblems. Just feel that it looks better. I wouldn't put on a retro bumper and grill though. Just saying.

Did you use the SLP kit for the SS emblems? I have a 2012 1SS ordered and also plan to use some sort of SS emblems on the center grille and rear panel. TIA

The white one looks okay... Not something I would do. The only retro parts I would put on is the Camaro script fender emblems, maybe the classic SS ones too.

I will probably also install the Defenderworx chrome gill inserts at some point, if you consider those retro. Pics:

very nice touch!!

I added some retro emblems to my 2010, GM added some retro to the 5th Gen and I wanted to add a litle retro to mine to go along with my 69 Z/28.

As for bumpers and conversions I have yet to see on that looks good on a 5th Gen.

-67 Camaro V-flag (under the drivers & passenger side fenders)
-68- rally-sport script on the cowl of the hood (passenger & drivers side)
-69 Camaro by Chevrolet on the front fender above the headlight

I dunno, I kinda like the look of the V-flag. It's not like it says V8 or SS or something, so I don't really think it's false advertising. Our 6 has more power than a lot of the old V8s anyway.

The emblems are a nice touch. The front and rear bumpers look terrible.

Well the 1st gen were low to the ground and were fat a$$e$. Like 2nd gen and 4th gen as well.

That's how I feel too. I still like the modern emblems better but I think the SLP emblems and V-flags are pretty cool.
