HE just posted that it was a 2007 Corvette so now it makes sense. 07 Vette came with the 400hp LS2 not the 430+ LS3 that the 08+ Vettes came out with.

The guy who owns the 2007 vette is a good friend of mine...it is a fast car...but you are right...still not on par with a LS3....slightly modded or not...

lol

Nothing wrong with the ZL...it was my first time out with it. I am more familiar with my HCI Z06..so I have to get used to the ZL all over again. And don't forget...the track at Memphis (to me) is a tricky track to run good times at.

I have no doubt with more seat time that I can get into the 11's. I was also running my drag setup from my Z06 which was a 25.5" tire...waaaaay too short for the ZL being an A6.

I actually ran 11.6. I know, I know...very slow...but the clutch that I put in (Katech LS9R) is NOT a drag strip clutch. The builder of my C6Z told me NOT to launch very hard with that clutch...so I didn't. The car is a 10 second car all day long...I just never pushed it that hard. Now on the street, is a different story.

Thats even worse Scott .

So I have to buy ZL1 and hire a good driver to beat the SRT .

FYI, the '13 Challenger SRT8s that are running around do not have the Launch Control feature. Launch control is a late availability coming around Spring '13 -- for last qtr '13 MY or '14 MY.

It is more than likely the owner of that '12 Challenger SRT8 has the Trinity T-1000 tuner loaded.

I would think that there was definitely something done to the SRT-8, like everyone had said, I would assume that it is a tune of some sort.

I didn't think the SRT-8's were all that quick especially compared to the ZL1
