what are my options?

I'm more thank likely soon going to be in the market for a radio swap. I've always loved touch screens, and the factory radio is nice and all, but it isn't my cup of tea.

I'm also not a fan of any of the aftermarket faceplates, so it seems like it boils down to either the MyLink system, or that android-powered unit that's been bouncing around. Are these my only options for a more factory-esque look?

If i can score a navi mylink setup, is it worth it? does anyone have anything good or bad to say about either the mylink or the android?

btw, i have a 2010 SS, so i will need to end up having the radio re-programmed and will end up having to modify my car, and i am not afraid of doing so as long as i have instructions in front of me

one of my BIGGEST questions is how is the mylink navi system? i've always heard horrible things (both from ear and personal experience) from factory in-dash navi systems in terms of reliability and accuracy. i'd like to hear some reviews

I honestly don't have any FH experience with the mylink navi. Other than playing around with some factory navs in a few various rental cars that I've had, mylink will be my first in dash navigation. Hopefully it doesn't suck!

Regardless, wherever you get your unit from, you will have to reprogram it specifically for your VIN. User GTPprix is doing all of the programming for the gen5diy units. A PM to him would probably answer a lot of your questions.
