Rear side windows

I really love my 5th gen, but I wish GM could have came up with a way to make the rear windows roll down. I know there were safety reasons keeping them from making it happen. I just think the first gen looked so good with all the windows down. Does anyone else feel the same ?

Is that Kentucky Blue? It probably wouldn't have been that big of a deal for them to have made the quarter windows so they could be rolled down, but to get the "hardtop" look they would have to eliminate the "B" pillars. If they did that, the cars would never meet rollover standards.

I agree, it wouldve been kinda cool. Im sure they probly thought about that when they were designing it. Probly would have made it happen if they could.

Yeah I know! I'm just killing time now until the game comes on. And after the game it's going to be the Bud Shootout! My two favorite things back to back. Kentucky Basketball and NASCAR!

The Verts windows roll down. But again, you have the B pillar problem.

They could have. It's my one disappointment on the styling of the 5th gen.
Look at the '06 5th gen silver concept which is a true 'hardtop' just like the '67-'69.
That roofline was 1000% better looking IMO. It's just not as sleek looking with the B pillar.

They are pretty useless. I don't really see when I would roll mine down and use them. Only time would be at shows maybe, and even then I almost never roll my windows down.

I think it's good they didn't bother with it. I've got a '67 and '68 mustang and the roll down rear windows are a PITA so far. :(

I never sit in the back seat so who cares. As far as looks go, I don't see it.
