Clutch Pedal Issues??

The clutch pedal release point on this car drives me nuts at times. It releases so high in the pedal travel, and when it's almost released it springs back into your foot. It makes it very difficult to drive the car smoothly at times.

I had a GTO M6 and LS1 Trans Am WS6 M6 and neither had a crappy clutch hydralic setup like the Camaro SS.

Any help or advice is much appreciated on how to solve this issue??

There are tons of threads on here about different tweaks you can do (removing return springs, etc) most have drawbacks. I felt the same way you did when i first started driving my car. Now after two summers, i dont even notice the odd feel of the clutch anymore, and i would say after a few months that first summer it became less of an issue and more an annoyance.

Try doing a search on here for clutch engagement or clutch return springs and you should come up with a fair amount of results.

Strange. My clutch is butter smooth and I have an early build model and it's been that way for all 42K+ miles. Your problem sounds like my old infiniti G35's clutch.

cobgto, how long have you owned the car? Drive it a month straight and check back. Like anything new will take a few weeks to get used to.

I have to agree with you, difficult to drive smoothly, makes ya feel like a student driver out for the first time with a standard. I've stalled mine more times than I'd like to admit at traffic lights, clutch seems to engage at a different spot each time it's used. (I'm not new to the world of clutches, but a retired trucker with 4,000,000+ miles of expierence) Never had hydraulic assist on any of the trucks I drove, and the engines produced 10 times the torque. Would like to disengage the hydraulics, and operate it with a cable or some kind of solid linkage.
