How Much Before Tuning?

how far can you go performance parts wise before tuning? I am looking to add a rotofab cai, corsa cat-back, and possibly a mass air flow sensor. Will I need a tune? I appologize if this question has already been answered but i am new to gas engines (always had diesel trucks)

No tune needed for those mods but it sure will wake up the car. MAF, why???

ok thanks. and my thinking on the MAF was to maximize the air intake?correct me if I'm wrong but it says an increase of 45%?
I know that's probably higher than what it would actually increase but anything helps.

People say those things don't do anything but I do not know from experience.

I'd like more info on that MAF. I'm kinda skeptical since I've heard nothing about it here, but I'm open-minded enough to want to know more.

I don't think you *have* to get a tune with what you're doing, but it may be recommended.

I asked Ted Jannetty about these when he had them on his site. He said they are not worth the money and I think he may of quit carrying them.

Ok thanx everyone. So then if I go with just the cai and the exhaust. Will it hurt anything not tuning it? What are the pros and cons of not tuning or tuning?

Pros: 10 or so hp, a bit more torque, a little bit better mileage, torque management, shift schedule and AFM (if auto, of course) can be adjusted/deleted.

Cons: Pretty much an instant warranty-voider, and I've read here that GM makes the dealer check specifically for tunes if you get warranty work done on any issue a tune could affect (which is all the expensive stuff.)

Would reliability be effected without a tune?

No need to tune with the Roto-Fab.
