SNAPPY's World Record SUPERCHARGED Camaro

In the JUST held Houston Half Mile, an Inferno Orange CONVERTIBLE went a world record class speed of 196.7 MPH in the HALF MILE. Car was going 159 at the QUARTER mile. This race is a STANDING START by the way.

To give you an idea of how fast that is, a 159 MPH 1/4 mile trap speed is about 8.60 in the quarter mile or 5.50 in the eighth mile. Car locally down here is known as Snappy's Racing Camaro which is driven by Chase Dooley.

You could POSSIBLY see this car do between 235-240 MPH in the upcoming October TEXAS Mile . Car is tuned by Sam Miller of Advanced Modern Performance and weighs roughly 4600 pounds in race trim with driver.

It was the THIRD fastest car at this event and the FASTEST rear wheel drive car. This is one BAD MF.

Look at the Video of the slower 190MPH run that this car did on the Facebook Page link BELOW:

https://www.facebook.com/TheHoustonMile

Congrats to Snappy and his team.

Well YES I do but since it isnt my car, I don't feel comfortable about giving out any details other than the fact that it is running a KENNE BELL supercharger.

Well some people have the mistaken belief that if they duplicate your combination that you can go as fast or faster than the person's car you may be chasing assuuming you are into the competitve racing scene. The problem is as the cars get faster and faster, it's the smallest of things that can either push the car to new record high speeds or hold it back for some reason that you may be completely unaware of.

Eddie Hill besides being a successful Drag Racer, was an unbelievably fast speedboat racer. One time though he had a horrific crash and because he could never determine the cause of it, he got out of speedboat drag racing for good. He realized he didnt have the know how to prevent a possible repeated crash.

It takes a HUGE bag of money and more importantly the right combination of people to go as TREKES would say "where no man has gone before".

I don't believe a word of this. Been told hundreds of times now that TT is the ONLY way to make stuff go fast.. If you think that anything else could be better in any situation you are wrong... and dumb... and single.... and ugly.... and probably still live with your mother.

But in all seriousness congrats to Snappy.

Haha. I was going to say the same thing.

The turbo boys must have their panties in a bundle over this one. A PD blower blowing away records at all distance levels? And a Kenne Bell??!!!! How in the world can that be???!!! They keep telling us that there is nothing even close to a twin turbo??!!

Damn...turbo hearts are being broken all over the world on this one.
