I just bought a 2012 camaro 1lt at a key dealership in jacksonvill Flordia, it past their inspection aND was certafied preowned I did get an extended warranty. At first it drove amazing but now I am getting a shaking coming from the back of the car when lightly accelerate between 40 and 50. I plan on taking it back to them Saturday so they can take a look at it. This was my first time ever buying a car and I'm a little upset that it only has 20k miles on it and I am having problems 5 days after I bought it. I love the car but I don't know what's wrong with it. Any ideas ?

Shaking at a specific speed is usually an out of balance wheel or a warped brake rotor. Make sure your lug nuts are tight too.

I put it on a lift and the rotors are pretty decent, the lugs are torqued down, I had an alignment done as well.
If I put any power to the wheels it goes away, it's only at 1100 to 1500 rps that I can feal it shake between 35 and 45 mph

35 to 45 is too slow for vibration from wheels being out of balance. It's odd though, that the vibration got away when you step on it.

As for the rotors, you should take the wheels off and measure rotor lateral runout. Looking at them won't do it.

I just set up an appointment at the dealership for their mechanic to look at it and take is for a spin. I'm not a mechanic myself, however my uncle rides to work with me and he is convinced it has something to do with a weight or a fin inside the torque converter being out of ballance or bent.it's not shaking side to side either it's more like I'm driving over the bumps on the side of an interstate. I just hope what ever it is, is covered under the extended warranty I'm paying for. I haven't had the car but 6 days now, and drove it to work 3 days... it's not like I was dogging the car so idk.

It does sound like it could be the torque Convertor, many 2012 V6 Automatics had that problem, if you are doing around 40-45 and the torque convertor locks and unlocks there will be a shuttering like driving over rumble strips. I just had mine replaced a couple months ago. Make sure if they do replace it they flush the transmission to get any metal particals out. If they don't it will tear up the new convertor very fast.
Show them this TSB.

Thanks I will show this to the mechanic Tuesday.
Was yours covered under the extended warranty if not how much did it cost to fix it. The only reason I ask is because I literally just put a tun of money down for a down payment on the car 8
days ago and can't afford a couple fore grand right now

Mine was still under the original 5 year power train warranty so it did not cost anything.
It is a known issue with the 2012 V6 automatics.
If you purchased an extended power train warranty it should be covered less any deductible you may have.

The dealer can check if it has any factory warranty left also.

The powertrain factory warranty is good for 5 years from the in service date. So if your car was originally purchased less than 5 years before the date you take it in for service it will override any extended warranty you purchased.
