Porbably not but stock vs stock, horsepower to wieght ratio would definitly be on the stangs side. Well just have to wait and see
But i cant wait to mod my car! Just need the mula lol

Current stock V6's are running mid-15's... good driver lower 15's... so almost a full second slower than stock V6 Camaro... Rough ball park is 100HP = 1 second... so I'm thinking the 2011 will be mid to low 14's...

315 is the rumor. Not sure if thats been officially confirmed yet though.

Honestly, I'm not too worried about the 2011 mustang. This engine has a lot of potential still inside it. Gm could just lean the mixture out a bit from the way it comes now and get those numbers. And I can't see any reason why GM would *NOT* do anything to respond. The V6 with 304 hp and 29 mpg is GMs biggest advertising point.

When I seen the first dyno pulls and their A/F ratio I thought the same thing... just lean it out a bit... then started doing some research... my birdies seemed to think there was not a lot left to gain with the LLT and you probably couldn't lean this motor out much, if any at all... guess time will tell..

Well, even if there isn't a lot left to gain in its current config, that block was designed to support up to 4.0L of displacement. And hell, even if they wanted to go cheapy they could make the GMPP intake standard and slap some slightly larger manifolds on to make up that 11 hp pretty easily.

isnt the 2011 stang going to be boosted? aka the ecoboost motor? if it is then comparing n/a to turbo is like apples and oranges...

come to think of it.. why doesnt gm have any turbo 6cyls ?? it would be nice...

Nope, no Ecoboost for the Mustang... was one of the reasons I went with the Camaro...

I think the 2010 is a good looking car from three sides (backside leaves a bit to be desired), and the interior is a nice improvement. If the new powertrains had been out, it would have made the choice a lot harder!
