voltage
Well lately I've noticed that my voltage drops from 14.4 to 12.3 while I start driving and will not go back up to 14 unless u shut it off and restart the engine any ideas of what it could be could it be the battery's going bad? Also I've noticed that when I crank it, it will start super fast to the point were the starter barely finishes it cycle and other times it takes a bit longer to crank. Any help is appreciated thanks.

voltage
I just noticed this a day or two ago. Haven't had any cranking or running issues either. Interesting to know what you find or if this is normal.

I think this is normal. The voltage on my car goes up when the voltmeter reads ~12.6 V. This makes me think the alternator is only used when the voltage drops to a certain level.

I haven't taken it to get checked but I forgot to mention I have a sub amp so Idk if that could be why my voltage drops down, do any of you limacharlie or wizzard540 have an amp hooked up? I would think that's why the voltage drops on our cars?
