Well you have 2 options, 1 buy a new bumper cover and repaint it or fix this one and repaint it. The latter would probably be cheaper. A new bumper facia will cost about $400 and paint about $200? To repair you sand it smooth add filler (not bondo) sand smooth primer and paint.

When I go to wally world and we all do at some point, I park as far away as I possibly can...I cant say that helps but its always worked for me.

Sorry bout the bad luck!

That looks like more than shopping cart damage. Unless the shopping cart was caught up in a tornado and hurled at your car at 200 mph.

Brand new car taken to Wal-Mart?.....I just don't see the logic....Is there a law that says the car must be taken there? (at least once for damage)??.....

Sorry about your car.....It's been many years, but I remember if you could prove it was a cart, that the store is actually responsible...dunno how that flys today, but I did complain to a store manager many moons ago and they paid for minor damage, done by one of "their carts"...good luck.

I can tell you exactly what it will cost you because this happened to me.

1) The bumper is not punctured so it can be smoothed and prepped.
2) The bumper cover must come off the car to be properly prepped and painted. If the body shop tells you they're leaving it on, run away.
3) The total cost is $434
4) It takes roughly 2 days to complete the work.

That said, it appears from your picture that they also dented some of the metal along the rear quarter panel. That will easily add another $400 to the cost. A picture from about 5 feet away would certainly help identify all the damage.

Sorry to see another Walmart victim.

OP, I am sorry to see that.

It seems like this world is full of pricks who just plow into people's cars, or have no regard for others property at all. Not just Camaros, but others property in general.

Sorry, this happened with my old jeep, $950 later...... check with security though, and see if they can look at their tapes of the parking lot. Good luck and happy hunting.
+1 on this and I always park at the end of parking lot for 2 reasons, first (and most important), our Camaros are beauties, second, my fat needs to walk.

Sucks about your damage. It seems this happens quite a lot at Wal-Mart stores... That's really too bad. Maybe we should make our own "People of Wal-Mart" video, call it "Door dings of Wal-Mart"...

Grafitty hatch, Bumper scratch, door dent, fender bent... These are the door dings of walll-mart...

If I'm not mistaken, some Wally Worlds have cameras, you may get lucky by just asking if they have the video after explaining to them what happened. You could get a license plate and file a report.

Forget about making our own video, lets make a pact and never go back to Wal-Mart!
Sorry for your loss, makes the ding I got look like nothing. If people don't take care of their own car, they sure will not care about yours and not be honest enough to tell you that they did it.

Get a hold of an assistant manager, or the store manager. As far as I know, all Walmarts have security cameras in the parking lot. (I worked at one for 14 months) Ours was built in '08, and trust me, they have really expensive high definition cameras that can see just about anything.

3rd... its easier to find a spot in the back, no circling while looking for a spot

4th... you can easily find your car when you come out of the store

5th... if you are meeting people, they will easily find your car

6th... there will be more room for loading and unloading

... I am sure I could think of more.

****don't park in the zombie mass of cars****
