B-Bee yellow stripes on Black SS

Can someone take this pic and give the car the Yellow/Gold color stripes of the movie cars paint job. Basically reverse the one from the film? Thanx a bunch.

Heres a pic for the Yellow.

Bruno, do you use Photoshop to do your stripe work or paint? If you are using photoshop send me a pm, I can give you some tips to make it look way less cartoonish.

hi Scrappy

I use Paint.net because of its easy to use. I'm just starting to use layers.I can get access to Photoshop which i should be using.I only been photoshopping cars now since end of July.

hmmm... never used it so really can't help you out. A suggestion you could do is layout your stripe as a selection, copy the selection from the layer with the image on it and adjust the hue/sat/values to get the stripes the color you want. This allows the stripe to match the shading of the paint and looks far more realistic.

much better, might want to brighten them up a bit and add a little more saturation (more color), the chin spoiler looks about right, stripes are a little too gold. This is where the "adjust levels" controls in Photoshop play a major role, you can adjust lights, darks and midtones all separately. It is sometimes difficult to use the method I explained starting with a black car without some experimenting, you will get the hang of it though.

that's way better, awesome. now the Lines of the car aren't lost.

i've used a bunch of different editing programs, and if you can get access to photoshop, i'd say go for it. it's the cadillac of design, i used GIMP and Paintshop Pro for a while, and haven't looked back since i switched to Photoshop.
