L99 Muffler Delete
Anyone with this coming to the fest? I would like to hear it in person so I can judge for myself. Believe it or not my WIFE wants the car to be louder! (and I wouldn't mind either) I just don't want to go hacking at the pipes without knowing what I will get. If you see me looking under your car's arse please dont taze me!

I would suggest NOT cutting the mufflers off. I just did it on my L99 SS and it sounded like crap. Actually it sounded pretty good at 3500 rpm on up, but anything under that it had a horrendous whooshing sound that was intolerable. That lasted for 2 days and I ordered up a Borla Stinger axle back and Magnaflow X pipe and its fantastic. If you want to try something on the cheap first, I would absolutely cut the resonator out first, and see how you like it. Then if that sucks order up some exhaust which I always figured I was going to need to do anyway. I only wasted $100 on the muffler delete. Good luck!

Thank you, thats some info I can use!
I was so busy looking at all the cars at the fest that I totally forgot about trying to find one with muffler delete. |
