Anyone like the new THC EVO 4g?

Just found out yesterday that I have a discount if I switch to sprint because of my credit union membership. I'm not the biggest fan of Sprint's service but you can't beat what they offer for the price. So far the only phone I like on Sprint's service comes out June 4th, but I've never heard of it. the EVO 4g. Looks great and has more options than I'll use, but what do you guys think about it? Runs on Android 2.1

All Android based phones that I've had or used have been great. I have never had a complaint on any of them.
The on-screen keyboard however isn't that great. It's not terrible, but it takes some time getting used to.

My G1 is great and I think they make the Droid too. Which is an awesome phone.

That's sprint version of tmobile's hd2 and verizon's droid incredible. Honestly, I wouldn't get it yet, they are all coming out at the same time, and other than the fact that verizon's droid incredible and sprint's evo 4g are cdma, whereas tmobile's hd2, they are all pretty much the same firm/software. The thing is that the hd2 was out first, it came out a little over a month ago, and right now it's on hold at the factory, for about the next few weeks as a few glitches were found out. I suspect that the same thing will come to light with the droid incredible and evo 4g, so if I were you I'd hold off for about the next month. Let them find glitches with sprint's version of the phone and have them fixed, before you are going to be one of the people screwed since you got it first.

It's kind of how when the first customers got the new 5th gen there were a few glitches with the car, once GM realized this they fixed the problems and from there on out there haven't been any problems with the 5th gen.

The droid and droid incredible are two very different phones. Compared to htc's droid incredible motorola's droid is a crap phone.

This is the type of stuff I'm looking for. I don't want a smart phone because I pay 60 bucks a month now for just regular phone with verizon. for 70 bucks, I could have a smart phone and fit in with the cool crowd. I want the phone to be top quality for calls most importantly, even if I go with a smart phone. I don't need a camera or mp3 etc. I need a phone for talking and making clear calls, and texting is a 2nd priority. having fun apps is a long third, but if I can pay 10 bucks a month more than I am now for web surfing and such, I'd do it.

I switched from an iPhone 3GS to a Samsung Moment with google in order to save money for my camaro and i can bare with it because i really want the Camaro, but man this service has got to be the worst I have ever dealt with! I got the phone April 3 and so far its just terrible, the call quality sucks people calling me are always saying I'm cutting off and I can never get service ANYWHERE!!!! I mean c'mon i pay for the data plan and i have no service? WTF!?!? sprint and this samsung phone are nothing compared to AT&T and iPhone. And dont even let me get started on the battery life...

But this new 4g HTC phone does look super cool, too bad they're going with sprint.
