Exclamation Semi-rough idling problem

Hey guys and happy Sunday,

Ever since I got the new cat (replaced by dealer), I have noticed that the car kinda rumbles when in park or is idling. It kinda feels like the mild ghost cam from trifecta. I am sure I do not have it on.

I still haven't gotten an updated tune after adding all of the mace products. I am working on it though. I sent in a log on monday and am still waiting for a response..

Can an outdated tune be causing this problem? Or could this be more serious than I think and maybe I should take it in?

BTW, I realized I never successfully installed the stock tune before I sent the car back to the dealership. They never noticed the tune. So for you guys wondering if it voids the warranty, it doesn't with the LLT.

Thanks for your input guys,
Niko

Check the o2 and see if the installer got them dirty. Local auto parts store will have o2 cleaner if they are.

Wouldn't think so- how long since the work? Possible plugs may be an issue more likely it's sensor related.

If you decide to replace'em, check the Denso ITV20 5339's. Threw a set in my car cause I got it in my head I needed to... .

But it does seem to be running quite strong!

Before you do though- I'd disconnect the battery and reset the ECM. Several members have related a smoother idle and generally improved running after resetting the trims and allowing a "re-learn".

Check the plugs, if they are real black clean them off with a wire brush and then spray them with brake cleaner. These engines run rich, so before spending on plugs try it! Also spray off your MAF as you could of got some contaminants on it. Either of these 2 can cause rough idle.
