Night Fury Results on 91 Octane

Very disappointed in the number versus' what others are putting up. Im wondering if I got sent the wrong cam. Ive had 2 different people tune the car. It did 457whp back in TX on 93, and now it did 432whp on 91 octane. He said the car is only getting 23 degrees on the top end. I know the gas out here is crap, but when others are dynoing 480-500, I know 2 octane points isnt worth 50hp. The guy that tuned it is very respected out here and said that is average for a "medium" sized cam. I know its not all about "the number," but just not sure why my car dyno'd significantly lower than others on both tunes. I did not degree the cam during install, but think I might do it just to see what the hells in there. My mods are SP LTs (Catted), CAI, Night Fury, Magnaflow, 25% UDP. Any suggestions??

AZs dyno was a 224x Dynamometer
TXs dyno looks to be the same, looking at the dyno sheet layout. (Not sure if different dynos have different layouts.) Its the same dyno Robert uses. (SSE 4 2SS)

OK I understand about the specs. Did a lil digging around and seems like a nice cam. Might be just the way it was dynod, how do you feel it? Lost power or drives the same? Also the weather is pretty bad right now.

It definitely lost some pull, but I expected that on 91. I was really just hoping the TX dyno just read low and was really closer to 480, and when I got here and retuned, it would sit around 460. It was really a kick in the junk at 432. Maybe my car is one of those factory freaks, just in a negative way. LOL!!

Very strange. I would have someone else take a look at the tune (Preferably Shawn @ Lethal).

Who did the tune? Since you used Loud Pedals dyno I assume NicD did the tune. I would trust what Nic says if he did the tune. Take it to the tack and see what the real gains are.

Different dynos, different days, different weather, different gasoline.
Not all dynos are the same, when did you dyno 457? That's not bad.

Guys are dunking 480/500 with a Lil head work done to them too.
Like they said, Have you taken it to the track yet?

Definitely not a tuner issue as that's who we use. Welcome to az my friend lol. Glad nic was able to get you in and you guys coordinate up. Nothing is wrong with your car just showing how bad our heat, gas, numbers are. We have our own cam that is honestly very similar that in good fall weather made 473 in ls3 c6 6spd. With only a Vararam, kooks 1 7/8 and off road x. No other mods at all. Your car will pick up some good power when it cools off trust me. It's not going to make 40 more rwhp but it'll gain

Yes, Nic did the tune. They closed the only track around here a couple months ago. I believe its supposed to reopen in a couple months from now. Just hoping they still have the run what you brung nights.

I definitely know its not a tuner issue. Thats why I was questioning maybe receiving the wrong cam or maybe it was just a dog before the mods. As long as everyone says its ok, Im good with it. Guess its time for a blown 418ci!!!
