NY is trying to pass a law that if your car is tinted, then it will fail inspection. Here in NY you have to have 70% or more light. I really hope this new law doesn't get passed

Thats a pretty broad article. Most new vehicles come with 20% in the rear windows, is that included in the inspection ? In Utah it could be painted black in all windows behind the driver, but the front side windows can't be darker than 45%. (Liberals do not control Utah)

Sounds to me all they are doing is adding it to the inspection list to be checked annually.

I think it is a good call to add this to the list of inspection for safety, call me what you want. I see many cars here in NY and wonder how they get away with tint being so dark.

I believe the back rear windows can be any percent. It's the front windows that need to be 70% or more.

Government doesn't try to control everything I do.

I'm just over here not being forced to have my car smogged/inspected, I think our legal tint limit is 30% as well but police never mention darker unless you're being an ass.
