Guys vs Girls
Discussion regarding the exhaust on my SS.
Guys refer to it as exhaust or catback or axleback or headers or catalytic converters. Women refer to it as "Pipes" (Not always just my experience) Kind of like how men navigate by directions (North, South etc...) and women navigate by landmarks. None of this is wrong, its just interesting. |

I must be a girl then. Wait a moment. I'll go to the restroom and check.

Pipes was a term that was used in the 50/60/70, so I don't think its girlish. Just a different generation.

Men won't ask for directions and women can't read a map. Him: "Which way do we go when we get to the end of this road?" Her: "I don't know. Follow the blue line for about 3 inches." (Does that mean 3 inches or 9 inches, based on what I told her 9 inches was?)

Why do you think Navigation systems are so popular. They have saved many a week end trips from ending in disaster. Heck, they are better and more affordable then marriage counseling.

Not true. I read a map better than most "boys" and navigate by NSEW. I also don't refer to my cat back as "pipes." Oh, you are a boy. I prefer men.

love. my. car.

dunno, if that is accurate, unless these said women are hanging out in groups of other women discussing cars. I can't see women using different terms than the men around them especially seeing as the majority of people who care about modding cars are men. Meet the woman's circle of friends or husband/boyfriend. See what they call the "exhaust"
