Questions about camshafts
can someone please tell me how aftermarket cam shafts help with the engine being able to breath better and remove exhaust, how would i know how to choose the correct cam for my application, and how tall should the lobes be from stock to make a difference, thanks
basically how the work im a newby at this

well you want alot, you may want to got to a hot rod shop and have them tell you about duration of the intake and exhaust...longer intake duration fromlobes of the cam help take in more gas, longer exhaust duration helps scavenge the exhaust out...And the correct cam would have to be for your application..................

Since you have a v6 go to the v6 engine section or for more info check out the v8 section and the sticky about different cams.

There are no cams for the v6 LFX yet (as far as I know).
