painted is the way to go. The shop I go to quoted me around $2200 but they do really good work. You do get what you pay for.

Painted on was definitely the right choice for me. As you can tell the prices are going to range depending on the shop and the area that you live in. You can expect to pay more for them to be painted on and buried under clear coat. The only issues I ran into were 1. they kept trying to rush to get my car back to me and "burned" the clear coat several times especially on the stock spoiler (had the stripes wrap over the top so they could be seen from behind). Ended up getting a MPD1 spoiler that they painted for free-- bigger and easier to work with. 2. I made the mistake of being a "nice guy" and paid them for the job before it was completed--- then they pushed me to the back of the line with no incentive to get the job done. Until I bitched and then "I rushed them". One other advantage was I got to chose a black paint that had alot of flake in it so it sparkles like the SIM at certain angles, but looks jet black in others.

Mine were $1200. Still need to clear coat over them though since the ridge is quite noticable.

I would say the range is $1000-1400 for trunk, spoiler, & hood, more if you go into front bumper.

That's clearing the whole trunk, spoiler, & hood, not just stripe area.

Picking mine up tomorrow hopefully. Went with white with a little pearl metal flake on my VR. Just getting the factory rally painted instead of vinyl.

$1300.

I ended up ordering the factory stripes figuring I can always remove them and have paint applied if I hate them.

You can call Arty from www.Kraftwerkskustoms.com
He is located in Bayshore and he installed my T-2 ports and will be painting my RK Hood with the stripes (trunk as well) next week.

Call him at 631-392-0992

We do any custom paint work you could want. All is laid out correctly and cleared after with wet sanding/buffing/polishing to a show finish. Also duplicte it on the underside of the hood/trunk lid if desired for that custom touch.

I was in having my bumper repaired ( some idiot backed into me) so I had a blue pearl ghost stripe added to my hood, lip of my front bumper and also the rear deck lid. All said and done $500.00
