So go drive the G8 GXP, 370z, 135i coupe, and go test drive the Rx8... If you like anything about it, the Rx-9 will be better in every way.
I've driven the 335i Coupe, and own a 328i. The 3.0 TT is quite a thrill.. instant 300lb-ft torque throughout the whole band!
I've never driven ANY Mazdas, but I will definitely consider it! Something about a rotory doesn't really appeal to me.

A few more HP,don't kid yourself. It will be IN THE ZR-1 territory when i.m done with it. @ 700+hp.

Oh yeah. I thought you paid 43k, and that is a lil more than the camaro. What is your hp right now? Oh yeah we are talking about what you are going to do. How much will 700hp cost ya. I bet I can get 700hp to the camaro ending up with way less money into it. And all that aside, it was just a point. You shouldn't knock other peoples rides then make a post cryin someone else is doing just that. I don't give a crap what you drive or how much hp you are going to have. Keep talking about your awesome stang on a maro site, makes sense to me. You dropped your maro order right? What is the point then?

I remember seeing an LS3 corvette making over 510hp at the rear wheels with a cam, intake, headers, and tune. Camaro has the same engine so it should be able to make that too. That is N/A. I think that's pretty awsome really, and by the way that would be somewhere in the range of 600-620 flywheel horses. That's more than some of these forced induction Mustangs after exhaust, intake, pulley swap, tune etc.

the eclipse and the evo are ZERO competition to the camaro, maybe the Evo Lancer bcuz it's a little more powerful but it's two different kinds of cars, it's not like comparing the G8 or the mustang to the camaro

I think I'll go test drive a G8 tomorrow/Thursday...

Thoughts? Suggestions on what to go drive?
Try out a Challenger R/T, its MSRP is more in the price range of the Camaro (unless you want to add discounts). And if you're just trying to judge the driving dynamics, a Charger should be a good substitute for the Challenger if they don't have one on the lot. Same weight, drive train, chassis (well, few inches different), and suspension setup.

And if you are looking at smaller, more nimble cars like the imports already mentioned, you might want to try a BMW 1 series.

Fail.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."
