Muffler Delete with Dyno clips and pictures
I just had the muffler delete done this week and had them dyno it for before and after numbers. Here are the pictures of the install and the video clips of the dyno runs.
The numbers show a 6 HP and 9 TQ increase with the muffler delete. Stock numbers were 364 HP and 362 TQ @ 85 degrees and 67% humidity. After the delete I pulled 370 HP and 371 TQ @ 101 degrees 25% humidity. I am not sure how much the temperature and humidity affected my results. Does anyone with expertise know how to convert the numbers? American Racing Technology here in Buda, TX did the muffler delete and dyno pulls. They are a GREAT shop to work with and will work with you on whatever you want done to your Camaro (or challenger, corvette, viper, etc..). If you are in the Austin/Buda area give them a call!

One interesting thing I recently learned was that for some reason GM car dyno a bit better when the car is warmed up... I was skeptical when my dyno guy told me that... but sure enough, my first pull after a LONG cool down was the WORST! Best one pull was about the 3rd one with only a short cool down between pulls...

Irpq11's dyno pulls are a good example. His car ran like crap on his first pull. I believe it made less than 300 rwhp on its first pull, if I'm remembering correctly. It seemed to recover on the second and third pull. But I'd have to ask Irpq11 how long his car sat before the first pull. It could have been hot from a drive to the dyno? |

I would say its noticeable not too loud. The tone is great. Especially in the car. The first run was around 9 am and the last run was around 4 PM. they took their time and did it right since it was their first delete. I will try to get SAE numbers.

Where's "Buda" Texas?
I lived in San Antonio and Corpus Christi for many years before I made it to Florida. |

About 45 miles north of San Antonio and 15 miles south of Austin. Right on I35.
