Borrowed link from Mustang Site Gt 350 section.
Guess I should be happy paying MSRP.
That dealership is very close to me and the first one I contacted about a 350. They offered me a 2016 at 15k markup and acted like it was a steal.

The price they are listing is humorous. I would have laughed at a 15k markup. Yes it's a cool Mustang, but it isn't Porsche Turbo S cool. I will be be just as happy with the new Camaro for less $$$.

Even that convertible feel for Curr lol
I looked at those, and some well done FF replicar's.

I crossed them off my list, as I'd like a roof and a/c for those HHH days here in New England. I took a test drive in a 2010 GT-R, and 2011 CTS-V coupe. The GT-R as absurdly fast as it is, the interior kind of leaves me "meh". The CTS-V was pretty nice, and the we both liked the recaro's, very comfy. Plus, s/c whine!

Given the numbers I just read about the SS that GM just released, I'm very impressed and greatly looking forward to finally putting my ass in one soon.

GM built a nice track car but 90% of its buyers dont care about how fast it goes around a track I don't. Listen the car is awesome inside fantastic outside still think the 5th gen looks better but still nice. I see guys on here ordering cars and skipping on options because they can't afford it just to have one to me that's a shame
that is the boat I am in. All I want is a base V-8 model with an auto trans. that puts a 1SS over 40K for me OTD. I simply wouldn't pay that much for a Camaro/Mustang/Challenger base model. I would have a real hard time paying over 40K for mustang or camaro in general unless it was a special edition

A base/auto/V8 under 40K, so what are your choices then?

I don't think anyone on this forum can deny that the GT350 is still a sick muscle car and is strong competition for a hypothetical 6th Gen Z28.

I said over 40

I know math was never my strong point, but last time I checked 35 is not over 40.

Your only choices are a Challenger RT or base GT. Both will have a serious performance gap from the 1SS. Not just in straight line, but braking and handling too. I assume you ruled out the RT since an LGX 6th gen will run with it.

hahaha that is true. I really would only consider a higher up model of Challenger like a Scat pack but would rather have a Camaro or Mustang. I also really wouldn't care if a 6th gen is faster, brakes better or handles better. There is always someone faster than you out there.

When the time is right for me to have a car like this again, its going to be as a toy so price is important and as long as it is fun to drive that is all that matters

After negotiation, you should be able to get a 1SS/auto for under 40K.
But you're right; you do get lesser of a car with a 35K Mustang.

Yes obviously with negotiation you should be to get the 1SS for less than 40K OTD. and as you said the lesser car in the Mustang for even less money. Which for a buyer like me who just looking to get back into a V8, price is a big deal
