Another death involving 2010 Camaro in Maryland

Man, I hate to read about these!

"The preliminary examination of the vehicle indicated that safety belts were not being used by either occupant at the time of the collision."

The driver died and he was 27. The passenger was 49 and is in critical condition.

It makes you think I wear my seat belt all the time an old habit that was drilled into my head in the air force.

hopefully that is not a C5 member. I dont wish to offend any of their relatives but is it just me or does it seem that all these serious accidents (not fender benders) in camaros happen to have people not wearing seat-belts?

is that merely coincidence or are people not posting the accidents where people are wearing their seat-belts.

pretty much what I am getting at is is there correlation between people who don't wear seat-belts and reckless driving?

without any sort of scientific study it would just make sense to me giving the total lack of self preservation apparent in both things

Sad to say the least. I will not move any of my vehicles until everyone is belted in.

I know there are some who believe this is something trivial. I don't agree. I have seen too many articleslike this. Ifyou don't want to believe the number s showing that many lives are saved by using seatbelts, that is your decision.

I am a strong champion of driving sensibly on the road and wearing your seatbelts.

Don't, please, don't be the next victim who could have been saved by using your safety belts.

I won't even get into responsibility, age, or driving while under the influence.

It boils down to being safe. For those that argue that it gives a false sense of security. So what. If it saves one life and the suffering that the families have to endure, then it was worth it.

FOOLISH people do foolish things.

Sad that they didn't use seatbelts EVEN THOUGH the car even reminds

them they are not being used. Many people cut the wire. WOW........

November 2007 my wife and I went head on with a 89 year old drunk driver, he was also on the wrong side of a divided highway at 1:00PM. Thank G-d we had our seat belts on.
