At least today was a better work day. But now I am buried once again.

I can only do one at a time and process them as quickly as I can while remaining accurate and error free.

Yeah, most of that does not apply to salaried employees. The theory is we eat when clients don't show up. But what about when they all do show up???? My metabolism just will not tolerate not eating for a long time. I guess if I start throwing up on their new carpet they might start to get the picture huh?

Teach classes 30 weeks a year (3-6 hrs. per day), then weekly staff meetings for 6-7 weeks, then on paid leave from late June to late Aug. Outside of class I work at home on course stuff but at my own pace. I just do my stuff and administration stays out of my business. Dealing with students and their "issues" is stressful at times but worth the benefits. At my age best part is here in Ontario I am protected by law in that I can not be forced to retire so I can work until the day I drop dead and don't plan on retiring as long as I don't develop any health issues. I know I am very lucky to now have a job I love plus lifetime job security so don't hate me.
That is the position I would find myself in if I had stayed with my PhD program instead of graduating with just a master's. But that train has left the station a long time ago. I am WAAAAAAAAAAY too close to retirement to go back to school. I like my job. It feels good seeing very troubled preschoolers get better. But the stress is very tough sometimes & then management just keeps making it worse & worse. The the travel nightmare to our new location adds more stress & time out of my life. It took me 1 hr 40 min to get home today.

Yeah, how are the kitties????

It was a rough day today. All my clients showed up. There were a number of things that came up in addition needing to be dealt with, we had a staff meeting reviewing all these changes that was stressful, a terrible traffic jam delayed my commute home & now I have a lot of computer work to do. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

The only thing permanent is change. Just hoping, this too shall pass. Have a good evening everyone.

Yeah, sometimes but my stress reliever of choice is usually rum & something (or just on the rocks). But tonight I had too much work to do. Got the most vital stuff done now at 11:30 PM & off to bed. Another full day of more of the same is drawing far too near. Sweet dreams all.

Thinks for asking about Ramses. First round of blood tests came back and thank goodness he is negative for diabetes and the blood test would have indicated cancer so that also looks like a no. His B-12 was down a little so he had a shot. Waiting on results of a urine test this week.

Hoping the rain stops by Monday as I am scheduled to have the two cars detailed Monday & Tuesday.

Have a good time & represent for us Pro Street.

Why is it that there is always pile on when stressful stuff starts????? This morning I was already running a bit late. Then htey were milling to start paving on my way in & I had to drive on that rough, dusty milled surface & dreading driving when they start paving. Poor Peper! Then I get big red dummy lights flashing back & forth between saying maintainence oil & maintainance filter. I don't know this car well enough yet to be sure what they meant. So I call hubby, my phone is almost dead & I cannot find my charger. I pull over & check my oil & it is fine. He looks it up & confirms it just means it needs an oil change (not quite due). Any other time, all this is minor stuff so no biggie, but when little stuff keeps piling in top of each other it feels just as stressful to me as something big happening.

I need a vacation!

TGIT - Thank God It's Thursday

I can't even wait for Friday to be glad we're toward the weekend

Looks like it will be a beautiful weekend here

Wish I was going to CamaroFest too, but I had to decide whether it was Camarofest or Hot Rod Power Tour and Hot Rod Power Tour won.....

Almost time to go home. Another tough day & my last client called to say they would not make it because they are stuck in traffic. I sure hope that is not on my side of town. At least I don't have to drive in it tomorrow.

Looks like I will be making a road trip for work later this month. I will spend a few days (and probably evenings) working at our facility in Provo Utah. I fly out on the 19th and come home on the 22nd.

Sorry Rick. For as busy & stressful as my day was, I actually managed to get all my notes done so I am free this evening. I'm just kicked back watching the Iheart Music Awards.
